  1. Congratulations to the 7th grade Girls Basketball team for their victory over Hillsboro last night!
  2. Good luck to the 7th & 8th grade Girls Basketball teams tonight in Lincoln at 6:00. Departure time is 4:15.
  3. Good luck to the 6th grade Girls Taylorville Youth Basketball team against Glenwood here tonight at 6:00.
  4. Report cards for the 1st Nine Weeks will go home today. Sixth grade will receive their report cards 1st hour, 7th and 8th grades will receive their grades during 8th hour.
  5. 7th & 8th grade Boys Basketball members can now pay their Athletic Fee of $150.00 through Skyward.  You can also bring it to Mrs. Vincent.  Athletic Fees are due by the first game, October 29th.
  6. Wear your pink to Thursday night’s Pink Night at the 7th & 8th grade Girls Basketball games. There will be a 50/50 drawing to raise money to help fight cancer. 50/50 tickets will be $1 each or you can buy 6 tickets for $5. Hope to see you there!
  7. An informational meeting for Chess Club, for students in grades 5th through 8th, will be today in Mr. Hill’s room (107) from 3:15 to 3:30.
  8. Lego Robotics Club will meet in Mr. Brown’s room (113) tomorrow from 3:15 to 4:00.
  9. Gold Rush membership envelopes are due in the office this Wednesday. The fee to join is $15 which includes an official Gold Rush T-shirt and free admission to designated ball games including 2 girls basketball, 2 boys basketball, and 2 volleybal games. Come be a part of #TornadoNation!
  10. Door Contest for Red Ribbon Week is this week. Doors will be judged tomorrow after school.  Winners will receive doughnuts: 5th grade in the morning; 6th & 8th grades will get their doughnuts 1st hour and 7th grade 8th hour.
  11. The Annual Winter Coat Give Away, sponsored by the Taylorville High School FFA and Student Council, will take place at the High School’s East Gym during Parent/Teacher Conference times. The coat give away is for anyone in need of a warm winter coat who resides in the Taylorville area. Sizes from infants to adults will be available.
  12. Remember, no school Thursday and Friday. Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday Noon to 7:30 and Friday is 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
