  1. Good luck to the 7th grade Girls Basketball team in the Regional Tournament in Hillsboro. The Lady Tornadoes will be playing against Granite City at 7:00.
  2. Good luck to the 6th grade Girls Taylorville Youth Basketball team at Maroa. Game time is 6:15.
  3. Builders Club will meet today in Mrs. Foil’s room (109) from 3:15 to 4:00.
  4. Anti-bullying program with Mrs. Ebert and the little horses will be today at 1:00 in the Gym with Mrs. Tucker’s class and 1:22 in the Band room for Mrs. Elliott and Mrs. Ninmer’s classes.
  5. A huge thanks to the students of Taylorville Junior High for making our book fair a success!  We sold $4,087.49 in merchandise!  That surpasses our goal of $3,000 by $1,000! Captain Jack Sparrow won over King Louie in our pirates vs. royals competition.  Captain Jack brought in $14.06 in votes, whereas, King Louie brought in $5.15.  This money will go towards buying classroom books.The lollipop pull was a success, too. After expenses, we collected $27.11 in which we can use towards classroom libraries. There were several winners for the chocolate coin guessing game.  Notes will be sent to those who correctly guessed so they can collect their prize from the Media Center.  The correct amount of coins was 42.
  6. Just a reminder: The Thanksgiving Assembly is Wednesday in the Junior High Gym at 10:00 a.m. and early dismissal at 2:20.
