- Congratulations to the 7th Boys Basketball team for their victory over Williamsville last night!
- 5th grade Boys Taylorville Youth Basketball tryouts will be today and tomorrow in the Junior High Gym from 6:30 to 8:00.
- 7th & 8th grade Volleyball tryouts are today and tomorrow. 8th grade tryouts will be 3:30 to 5:30 and 7th grade will be 5:30 to 7:30, both will be in the North Gym.
- We will announce when the photographer is ready for picture retakes. When it’s time, please go to the stage in the gym and you must bring your original picture package to turn in to the photographer.
- Chess Club in Mr. Hill’s room (107), will meet today from 3:15 to 4:00.
- Lego Robotics Club will meet tomorrow in Mr. Brown’s room (113) 3:15 to 4:00.
- All 8th grade Speech Contestants: There will be a brief meeting on Wednesday, December 7 during lunch. Please meet in Mrs. Alberssen's room, 305 after you have finished eating.
- There will be a dual Wrestling meet tomorrow in the High School West Gym at 6:00. We will be facing Shelbyville and Vandalia on what is designated as “Armed Forces Night”. The Wrestlers will be honoring our Military Service Men and Women as well as hosting a special fundraiser for Maggie Bilyeu of the U.S. Army, 2008 THS graduate and relative to TJHS Wrestler, Elijah Robbins. All proceeds of the fundraiser will go to Maggie’s family to help with costs during her recovery.
- Media Center book orders are due December 9th. Please give your orders to Ms. Lowry or Mrs. Southworth.
- Auditions for the High School Spring Musical will be held January 13th. Please pick up a flier with more information and music from the office.
- Candy Incentives and Prizes: Students who sold 12 boxes or more of Fannie May Candy and have turned in all of your fundraising money, will be eligible to attend the Principal’s Party. The 5th and 6th grade Principal’s party will be on December 20th at 1:17 p.m. (7th hour). The 7th and 8th grade Principal’s Party will be December 21st at 1:17 p.m.. All prizes will be handed out at these parties. The limousine rides for those that sold 25 or more items will be on February 15th and 16th.
