STUDENT INFORMATION
1.   Please check the lost and found table. Any items not claimed will be donated. 
2.   National School Breakfast Week is March 4-8th.  To celebrate, every student that eats school breakfast will receive a color coded coupon for a free cookie.  The free cookies are available with a school lunch the same day. 
3.   The first track practice will be Monday, March 4.  We will meet in the junior high gym at 3:30.  We will practice until 4:30 and have a parent meeting at 4:30. You must have a completed physical in before you can practice.
4.  There are copies of the TJHS Newspaper in the office.
5.  Students who receive a pass today for Miles of Smiles are to report to the Hot Spot.
6. No recycling club tonight.

1. Voting for the 2019 Rebecca Caudill Reading Award book of your choice will be done this week. If you are close to reaching your reading goal of three of the books, please try to finish so you are eligible to vote.  Students’ goals of reading 10 of the books have until April to reach 10. (reading 10 books makes you eligible for an ice cream party). Please see Mrs. Lowry or Mrs. Southworth if you are not sure how many booksyou have read.

Are you wanting to test yourself?  Are you looking for a challenge that will improve yourself  as a person?  Are you looking for a boost in self-confidence?  Are you wanting to learn the world's oldest sport?  Do you want to be part of a special family?  The Vortex Wrestling  Academy is now accepting participants, boys AND GIRLS, for the upcoming spring 2019 season. The primary focus of the academy is to teach the great art of wrestling to any boy AND GIRL entering grades 5th-12th grade in the surrounding area.  The academy will run from March thru June and will practice 2x's per week with a competitive focus on the Olympic Wrestling styles, Freestyle and Greco-Roman.  For those interested, please Contact Coach Mateer (lmateer@tcusd3.org).

2. Washington DC Trip 2019 (Current 8th grade students) - There will be a very important meeting for ALL STUDENTS and PARENTS on Tuesday, February 19th in the TJHS cafeteria at 7:00 PM. At this meeting the Personal Behavior Contract, Roommate Selection Form, and the Emergency Medical Release Form will need to be filled out and turned in to me. Any parent not receiving informational emails should contact Mrs. Rice as soon as possible.
3. There will be a Chess Club meeting in Rm 107 until 4:00 today.
4. There will be no Art Club meeting tonight. The meeting will be held on Thursday in Rm 122 until 4:00.
