STUDENT INFORMATION
1. Congratulations to the Jr High Band and Jazz Bands. Following a knockout performance at music festival, the earned superior ratings at the IESA Organizational Music Contest!  Well done!
2. Good luck to the Track Team in Hillsboro tonight at 4:00. Please dismiss the team at 2:30.
3. Today is the last day to turn in all library books.
4. Newspaper Club Members will be taking a field trip on Tuesday, May 1st to the Breeze-Courier.  All Newspaper Club members wanting to participate in this trip, must get their permission slip form turned in to Mrs. Richardson by this Friday.  You will need to meet at the school’s main lobby front door at 12:45 on Tuesday, and we should return back around 2:15.
5. Sign ups for the 2018 - 2019 Cheer and Poms Teams are in the office. Students who are currently in 6th and 7th grades are eligible and must have a recent physical.
6. Junior High Cheer clinics will be on May 8th in the Junior High Gym 3:45 to 5:30; May 9th in the North Gym 3:45 to 5:30 and May 10th in the Junior High Gym 3:45 to 5:30. Cheer tryouts will be on May 11th at 4:00 in the Junior High Gym. You must have a current physical on file with the nurse and be passing all of your classes to tryout.
7. Parents of 6th grade students who haven't attended the required Chromebook meeting, please mark your calendar for May 10th at 5:30 pm in the forum. Information has been sent home with the students whose parents/guardians still need to attend the meeting.

STUDENT INFORMATION
  1. 8th grade Dance picture order forms are now available in the office.
  2. Any 8th grade girls who think they might be interested in playing Tornado Basketball at the High School, should see Mr. Keller after school today, for a brief meeting.  
  3. All library books will need to be turned in to the Media Center by Monday, April 30.
  4. Sign ups are available to students in grades 1st through 8th grade. Registration fees are $60.00.   10. Today the Music Festival practice for 6th grade Band - Percussionists will be leaving at 8:25 to 9:30; 6th grade Band will leave at 8:35 to 9:30; 6th,7th & 8th grade Chorus 9:15 to 10:45 and the 7th & 8th grade Band will practice from 10:45 to 11:45.
  11. The Fleming Academy of Performing Arts is once again offering summer camps for string instruments. Flyers with complete information are in the office.
  12. The Music Festival performance will be tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the High School’s West Gym. Please be in the High School cafeteria by 6:30 p.m..

1. Congratulations to the scholastic bowl team for their victories over Stephen Decatur and Sullivan. The team finishes the season with an 17-6 record and as regional runners-up.  Special shout out to Jack McGrath who broke the single-season toss up record with 106!!
2. Congratulations to the Track Team for their wins at last night’s home track meet against Central A&M and Mt. Zion!
3. Art Club will meet in Mrs. Elliott’s room (122) today from 3:15 to 4:00.
4. Good luck to the Scholastic Bowl team tonight in the IESA Regionals being held at Mt. Zion Junior High. Taylorville’s match times are 5:30, 7:00 and possibly 8:00.
2. Congratulations to the Track Team’s wins in the Glenwood meet last night!
Good luck tonight here at the High School track starting at 4:00.
They will be competing against Central A&M and Mt. Zion.

2. Good luck to the Track Team today against Stephen Decatur and Vision Way at the Taylorville High School track. The meet begins at 4:00.
3. Any 8th graders interested in joining the end of the year talent show please notify your student council secretary Marcus Wilkins. First practice will be today after school in the Forum or gym until 4:00. No instruments or other equipment are required first practice.
