STUDENT INFORMATION


The Builders Club will be collecting items for the Christian County Animal Shelter this week. They will accept monetary donations, paper towels, laundry detergent, blankets, and toys.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

The Builders Club will be having their Christmas party during 9th hour on Monday, December 16th. Members are reminded to bring items that were assigned to grade levels. See Mrs. Rice if you have any questions.

Any 8th grade girl wanting to try out for volleyball should sign up in the office. Tryouts will be Dec. 16th and 17th from 3:30-5 at North.

Any 7th grade girl wanting to try out for volleyball please sign up in the office. Tryouts will be held on December 17th from 5:00-6:30 and Dec. 18th from 3:30-5.

"All Aboard the 4-H Express! Learn more about 4-H and participate in a variety of holiday-themed arts and crafts and games! It will be held Friday, December 13 4:30-6:30 pm. at the Taylorville Christian County Extension office."

The Principal's Party for 5th & 6th grade students will be Thursday, December 19th.  The Principal's Party for 7th and 8th grade students will be Friday, December 20th. Both parties will begin at 12:49 pm.  You must turn in your candy money in order to attend.

The TJHS Christmas Concert will be Thursday, Dec. 19th in the TJHS Gym at 7:00.

Please check the lost and found table. There are lots of coats, hats, gloves and lunch boxes on the table. All items not claimed will be donated at the end of the school day today!

Just a reminder that students are not allowed to visit the nurse’s office during passing periods without a hall pass signed by a teacher. Also, please bring your own cough drops from home with a note from a parent.

CONGRATULATIONS to the 7th grade girls basketball team on their 3rd place finish at the State Tournament!

Mrs. Mitchell is out of the building today. If you need a loaner chromebook, please see Mrs. Reindl.

Congratulations to the 7th grade girls basketball team on their win at state! They will play for 3rd or 4th place on Thursday!

Sixth and Eighth grade students only: There is still time to participate in the 32nd annual National Geographic Bee.  Those interested in participating need to sign up in the office by Monday, December 9th.  Anyone wanting more information needs to see Mrs. Foil, Mrs. Rice, or Mr. Nieves.

The Lego Club will meet today after school in room 113.

The Art Club will meet today from 3:15-4 in room 122.

6th grade TYS tryouts will be this Friday, December 6 from 7-8:30 at TJHS.

Good luck to the 8th grade girls basketball team in the Regional Championship Game tonight against Rochester.

The school level competition for the 32nd annual National Geographic Bee will be here soon!  All seventh grade students will be participating through their geography classes on December 16th - 18th, while sixth and eighth grade students may choose to compete during their homeroom on Wednesday, December 11th and Thursday, December 12th.  Sixth and eighth graders interested in participating need to sign up in the office by Monday, December 9th.  Finalists will be determined before the holiday break.  Finalists will then compete in January to determine the school-level winner.  Anyone wanting more information needs to see Mrs. Foil, Mrs. Rice, or Mr. Nieves.

There will be a Speech Contest meeting for 5th and 6th grade participants in Mr Hill’s room 107 tomorrow, Dec. 4th until 4.
