Yearbook Club will meet on Tuesday, October 1st during 9th hour in room 122.

FCA will meet on Wednesday, October 2nd at 7:30 am in room 111.

Thursday, October 3rd will be McTeacher night at McDonalds in Taylorville from 4-8 pm.

7th grade boys interested in playing basketball this season need to attend a meeting in the TJHS gym on Wednesday, October 2nd, right after school.  Open gym will follow until 4:30 pm.

There will be no art club today!

Any water bottles brought into the classroom should be clear.

Congratulations to the Cross Country team on doing so well at the conference meet last night. The boys were the conference champions of the race with a perfect cross country score of 15. The girls ran an excellent race and came in second in conference.  Charleston edged them out by just one point.

The Fannie Mae Candy Sales assemblies will be held during student lunch hours today.

Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams on their wins over Jacksonville last night.

Congratulations to those students that qualified to go the YMCA!  In order to qualify, students had to earn a 4 in Math OR ELA. Seventh grade students that qualify will attend today from 10:00-12:00. 7th grade students will be served lunch once they return to school, around 12:15.  Sixth graders that qualify will attend today from 12:00-2:00. Sixth grade students will be served lunch at around 11:15. Sixth grade students that qualified for the YMCA may not want to eat during their normal lunch time. Students will be able to swim and play in the gym area.  If you plan to swim, you must have a swimsuit and towel. Make sure your clothing is school appropriate. Bring your gym shoes for the gym area.

Water bottles served at lunch will no longer be allowed to leave the cafeteria.

We will be selling TJHS t-shirts Friday before school for $10.00 each.

Any current 8th grade student who has not already signed up for the Washington D.C. trip is invited to an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 17th at 7:00 PM in the TJHS forum. Come learn more about the trip and all you will do, see, and experience! Check with Mrs. Rice, Mr. Nieves or the office counter for a flyer.
