     1. Taylorville Youth Cheer sign ups will be May 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and May 4th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.at the Manner’s Park Dining Hall.

     2. There is a sign up sheet in the office for any student interested in poms for the next school year. Tryouts will be held May 7th and 8th. Poms is open to any student currently in 5th, 6th or 7th grade.

    3. Attention 7th graders: The deadline for the 2020 trip to Washington DC/Philadelphia/New York City has been extended!! You have until June 1st to sign-up for the trip. There are currently 65 students signed up. The maximum is 95 students, so don't delay. Sign up today. You can pick up an informational flyer from Mrs. Rice, Mrs. Foil, or on the counter in the office.

    4. 6th grade girls planning on playing summer volleyball league for Mrs. DeWerff please pick up a summer league schedule in room 311 before or after school.  

   5. Any 8th grade student interested in trying out for the high school cheer team, there will be an informational meeting held at the high school cafeteria on Friday, May 3rd at 6:00 for athletes and parents.  Clinics will be held May 6-9th 4:30-6:30 and tryouts will be May 10th at 4:30. A current physical must be turned into the school nurse. Any further questions please contact Shelly Rexroad.

   6. The Art Club will meet in Rm 122 until 4:00 today.

   7. The 7th and 8th grade cheer clinic will be tonight from 5:30-7:00

    6. Congratulations to the JH Band, who, after a great performance at Music Festival Friday night, competed in the IESA Organizational Contest in Sullivan and received the highest rating!  Well done!

    STUDENT INFORMATION

1. The Trotting with the Mini Horses 5k Fun Walk/Run will be April 13th at 8:00 am. If you would like more information, please come to the office.

2. Attention 7th grade students! We currently have 50 students signed up for the 2020 Washington DC/Philly/New York City trip! Remember, the limit for the trip is 95 students and the deadline is fast approaching. Be sure to sign up before April 15 to take advantage of the early sign up price. All it takes to get started is $49. Don't miss out!!

3. Chromebooks will be collected on May 17th in the HOT Spot during science classes.   Make sure your case is cleaned out and that you turn in your charger with the device.

4. Media Center book orders need to be turned in by Friday, April 12.  Please turn in to Mrs. Lowry or Mrs. Southworth.

5. The freshman shadowing program will take place today. Lists are posted on the media center window and in the 8th grade hallway. Please check the list for your time.
