5th grade TYS girls volleyball open gym will be held on Nov 27th from 6:30-7:45. Tryouts will be December 5th 6:30-7:45 and December 6th 6:00-8:00. Open gym and tryouts will be held at the Stonington Community Center gym. 2019 volleyball waiver forms may be picked up in the TJHS office.

8th grade students who would like to participate in Speech Contest should plan to attend a meeting in Ms. Williams' room 307 today during advisory.

There will be a Builders Club meeting Tuesday, November 26th during 9th hour in room 310. All Builders Club members should attend.

Wednesday, November 27th is Pajama Day at TJHS. Come enjoy the day before Thanksgiving in your pjs. Please make sure pajamas are school appropriate.

There will be a  Rembrandt meeting during 9th hour today in room 122.

The yearbook club will meet on Thursday, Dec. 7th during advisory.

Congratulations to the 7th grade girls on their win over Mt. Zion last night.

For the next several days, the Student Council will be selling wristbands for the American Heart Association. The American Heart Association promotes heart health through research, education and proper care. The wristbands are $5.00 each. All proceeds go to the AHA.The wristbands will be available at Thursday night’s game and before school Wednesday.

Congratulations to the 7th grade girls basketball team on their win last night over Pleasant Plains.

The Chess Club will meet Tuesday, November 12 in room 107 at 3:15.

In honor of Veteran's Day, Student Council would like for staff and students to participate in a couple of dress-up days.  On Friday, November 8th, staff and students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue. On Tuesday, November 12th, staff and students are encouraged to wear camouflage.

Student Council will be set up in the main hallway to collect donations on Friday and Tuesday to help support a guest on an Honor Flight.  An Honor Flight is conducted by non-profit organizations dedicated to transporting as many United States military veterans as possible to see the memorials in Washington DC of the respective war(s) they fought in.
