STUDENT INFORMATION
1. Welcome back TJHS Staff and Students!
2. All students are invited to attend the Fall Dance this evening, August 16th. The dance will be
from 5:00-6:30pm for 5th and 6th grades and 7:00-9:00 pm for 7th and 8th grades. The dance will
be held on the basketball courts. Hot dogs, chips, drinks and ice cream will be provided and boosters
will have snacks available for purchase.
3. All students please remember that air fresheners, scentsy type products, are not allowed in lockers.
These can cause problems for our staff and students with allergies.
4. TYS soccer will have our first practice Sunday, August 18th from 5:00-6:30 on the high school turf.
There will be one team consisting of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Please pick up a waiver in the office.

STUDENT INFORMATION

1. There are bowling passes in the office for summer bowling. If you are interested, please come to the office.

2. Any 5th through 8th grade boy interested in the Tornadoes Boys Basketball Camp this summer can pick up a flyer in the office or from one of the PE teachers.

3. Even though the weather is getting warm, we need to keep in mind our dress code. Shorts should cover your bottoms and be the appropriate length. No tank tops, halters, or spaghetti strap tops.

4. If you have not purchased a yearbook yet, there is still time! Please see Mrs. Elliott in room 122.

5. The Honors Day Assemblies will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd at 9:30 for 5th grade and Thursday, May 23rd at 8:45 for 6th, 7th and 8th grade.

6. The list for those students in 6th through 8th grades receiving honors and high honors will be posted today on the Media Center windows. Practice for the Honors Assembly will be today,Wednesday, May 22nd at 1:00.

7.  If you are interested in cross country, please pick up a flyer from the office or from Mrs. Howard. There will be an informational meeting in room 308 after school on Wednesday, May 22nd. The meeting will only take about 15 minutes.

8.  There is a fundraiser meeting for the 2020 DC/Philly/NYC trip tonight, Wednesday, May 22 at 6:30 in the forum at TJHS.

9.  6th grade girls playing summer volleyball, please get your volleyball shirts from Mrs. Dewerff in Room 311 today or tomorrow.

10. School will dismiss at 2:20 today and tomorrow.

2. The TJHS Student Council is hosting a Trivia Night for all students on Friday, May 17th. There are fliers and sign up sheets in the office.

3. There are picture order forms in the office for the 8th grade dance.

4. The final meeting of the Newspaper Club  will be today, Thursday, May 16th at 3:10 in Mrs. Febus's classroom.
