1.    Today is the last day to turn in Candy money. 
2.    Good luck to the 7th & 8th grade Boys’ Basketball teams tonight against Hillsboro here at 6:00.
3.    The school level competition for the 27th annual National Geographic Bee will be Wednesday, January 7th. In preparation, all 7th grade students will be participating through their geography classes on December 15th and 16th, while 6th and 8th grade students may choose to compete after school until 3:45 on December 8th. Sixth and 8th graders interested in participating need to sign up in the office by Friday, December 5th. Finalists will be determined before the holiday break. Finalists will then compete on January7th after school to determine the school-level winner. Anyone wanting more information needs to see Mrs. Foil or Mr. Nieves.
4.    There will be an 8th grade volleyball open gym tomorrow from 3:30 to 5:00. Eighth grade Girls’ Basketball team is not allowed to attend volleyball open gyms until after 8th grade Girls’ Basketball season is over.
5.    Homework Helpers will meet today after school until 4:00.
6.    Thanks to all students who participated in the November Research Skills and November Riddles. The winner for answering the most questions correctly for the research is Andrew Lahey and the winner for answering the most riddles correctly is McKenzie Whitehead. The winners may pick out a free book to order from the Scholastic Book Club. Please see Mrs. Lowry or Mrs. Southworth. For anyone interested in seeing the answers may see them posted in the Media Center. December begins a new set of questions for research. Everyone is welcome to try out their research skills. There are new artists being showcased in the Media Center for having December birthdays. Come see who they are and read about them in the Media Center.
