STUDENT INFORMATION         

1.    Congratulations to the 7^th & 8^th grade Girls’ Volleyball teams for winning last night against Springfield Jefferson.

2.    Good luck to the 7^th grade Girls’ Volleyball team at the Pana Invite Saturday at 9:00. Bus leaves at 8:00.

3.    Good luck to the 6^th grade Boys’ Basketball team Saturday. They are playing the Championship game against Pleasant Plains at Riverton 2:00.

4.    Congratulations to Preston Good for winning the January Research Skills prize for answering the most questions correctly! Please see Ms. Lowry or Mrs. Southworth to order a free book from Scholastic, Inc. There are five new questions for the month of February. All students are welcome to try their hand at researching the answers each month. Thanks to all who participated in January.

5.    Sign up for the Fan Bus for the 8^th grade Boys’ Basketball Sectional Game next Wednesday, February 11^th at 6:30 in Rochester. Bring $3.00 to the office when you sign up. The Fan Bus will leave at 5:45.

6.    Due to the 8^th grade Boys’ Basketball Sectional Game, Family Theatre Night on Wednesday, February 11^th has been cancelled.

7.    Please remember EFCM will meet Monday, February 9^th in Mr. Zini’s room from 3:15 to 4:30.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Art Bragg was standing at the bar in the ‘Soul-Ace Hotel’ bragging about his hunting ability.  He recalled a time when he was hunting mountain goats and suddenly came across a panther, a mountain lion, and a puma, all at the same time.  Knowing he had only one bullet, and that his life hung in the balance, he took careful aim and killed them all with just one shot.  Is Bragg spouting another tall tale or is this situation plausible?
