- Congratulations to the 6th grade Girls Taylorville Youth Basketball team for their win against Rochester last night!
- The 7th & 8th grade Choirs are attending a performance in Springfield today. Choir students are to go to their 1st hour classes and go directly to the Band Room after the morning announcements. They will leave at 8:45 and will return during 5th hour.
- The Fall Jazz Concert tonight at 6:00 in the Junior High Gym.
- 7th & 8th Grade Boys Basketball shoe sizing will be today after school in the cafeteria.
- 8th Grade Boys Basketball practice is tonight at North Gym from 7:00 to 9:00.
- Drama Club will have their first meeting in the Forum tomorrow from 3:30 to 5:00.
- An informational meeting for Chess Club, for students in grades 5th through 8th, will be next Tuesday (October 25) in Mr. Hill’s room (107) from 3:15 to 3:30.
- Yearbook Club, for interested 7th and 8th graders, will meet in Mrs. Elliott’s room (122) tomorrow for an informational meeting from 3:15 to 3:30.
- Builders Club meeting will be October 24th in Mrs. Foil’s room (109) 3:15 to 4:00.
- All TJHS students are invited to join the Gold Rush. The group will promote school spirit and support our junior high sports teams. Membership fee is $15 which includes an official Gold Rush T-shirt and free admission to designated ball games including 2 girls basketball, 2 boys basketball, and 2 volleybal games. Envelopes are available on the office counter and can be turned into your 1st hour/homeroom teacher through October 26. Come be a part of #TornadoNation!
- Door Contest for Red Ribbon Week will begin next week. Doors will be judged on Wednesday, October 26th after school. Winners will receive doughnuts: 5th grade in the morning; 6th & 8th grades will get their doughnuts 1st hour and 7th grade 8th hour.
