STUDENT INFORMATION
- Any students, grades 5 through 8, interested in Cross Country should see Mrs. Beckley in room 103.
- Christian County Youth Girls Volleyball and Co-Ed Volleyball is being offered for students in grades 1st through 7th, at the Mt. Auburn Elementary School. Sign up by August 27th. You can pick up fliers with more information in the Junior High office.
- Taylorville Youth Sports will be holding tryouts for 5th and 6th grades girls. 5th grade girls’ tryouts are August 22nd and 23rd in the Junior High Gym 5:30 to 7:00, both days. 6th grade girls’ will be August 22nd and 23rd in the Junior High Gym 7:00 to 8:30, both days as well.
- Junior High welcome back to school dance is this Friday, August 18th. Hot dogs, chips and ice cream are provided. Students may bring money to buy candy and/or soda from concessions. The 5th and 6th grade dance will be from 5:00 to 6:30. 7th and 8th grades will have their dance from 7:00 to 9:00.
- ECLIPSE BULLETIN All TJHS students will have the opportunity to view the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21st. Each of you will be given enough solar eclipse glasses for your students. The all school viewing time will be from 1:10 p.m until 1:30 p.m. Students will remain with their 6th hour class until the viewing time is over and then they will go to 7th hour. 8th grade students will view the eclipse during their lunch hour and the lunch supervisors will pass out the glasses. ECLIPSE DETAILS: The partial solar eclipse begins at 11:51 a.m. The maximum solar eclipse is at 1:19 p.m. The eclipse ends at 2:44 p.m. Students not wishing to view the eclipse can report to the cafeteria.
- New chromebook policy this year: You will not be allowed to use your chromebook before school. A few students are not using it for educational purposes. If you need to work on homework, please speak to an adult and you will be given a room to work in.
