1. Shelby County Art Show was held over this past weekend. Congratulations to Jarrett Kohl for receiving Best of Show of the Junior Artwork and 1st place in the 6th grade division. Congratulations to our other contestants who placed: 2D Artwork - 8th grade: 1st Jenna Poelker; 3rd Angelina Scarpaci; 7th grade: 1st Meredith Repscher; 6th grade: 1st Samuel Gatton and Lucas Newton; 2nd Noah Bliler and Justin Champley. 3D Artwork - 6th grade 1st Samuel Gatton; 2nd Annabelle Franklin and Adriana Olivio; 3rd Trinity Long and Preston Withrow.
2. The Track Meet in Mattoon has been canceled for today.
3. Any 8th graders interested in joining the end of the year talent show please notify your student council secretary Marcus Wilkins. First practice will be Thursday the 19th after school in the Forum or gym until 4:00. No instruments or other equipment are required first practice.
4. 5th grade Tech Club will meet in the STEM Lab tomorrow from 3;15 to 5:00.
5. Miles of Smiles dental services permission forms need to filled out and returned to the school nurse no later than Wednesday, April 18th.
6. The Taylorville High School Dance Team will be holding tryouts in the High School cafeteria April 18th, 19th and 20th from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m.. If you have any questions, you may contact Coach Heather Odam 827-5605.
7. Taylorville Softball Camp sign up sheets, for students going into 4th through 8th grade next year, are available in the office.
8. Informational flyers for the Junior Vet University Day for 5th and 6th graders are in the office.
9. Dress Code Reminder: Shirts must have sleeves and shorts must be finger tip in length.
