STUDENT INFORMATION
1. Voting for the 2019 Rebecca Caudill Reading Award book of your choice will be done this week. If you are close to reaching your reading goal of three of the books, please try to finish so you are eligible to vote. Students’ goals of reading 10 of the books have until April to reach 10. (reading 10 books makes you eligible for an ice cream party). Please see Mrs. Lowry or Mrs. Southworth if you are not sure how many books you have read.
2. Please check the lost and found table. Any items not claimed by Friday, Feb. 23rd will be donated.
3. The Art Club meeting will be held today in Rm 122 until 4:00.
4. Are you wanting to test yourself? Are you looking for a challenge that will improve yourself as a person? Are you looking for a boost in self-confidence? Are you wanting to learn the world's oldest sport? Do you want to be part of a special family? The Vortex Wrestling Academy is now accepting participants, boys AND GIRLS, for the upcoming spring 2019 season. The primary focus of the academy is to teach the great art of wrestling to any boy AND GIRL entering grades 5th-12th grade in the surrounding area. The academy will run from March thru June and will practice 2x's per week with a competitive focus on the Olympic Wrestling styles, Freestyle and Greco-Roman. 5. The Recycling Club will NOT meet today.
6. The Junior High Night of Music will be held tonight at 6:30.
7. The Builders Club will meet in RM 109 until 4:00 on February 25th.
8. Coach Brown has invited the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams to the high school game on Friday night. Please arrive by 6:00. Players will be recognized on the court at halftime of the JV game.
9. The 2019 Artists Showcase will be held Saturday, February 23rd in the TJHS Gym from 11am to 2pm.
10. Track sign up sheets are outside the girls' and boys' locker rooms.
11. Tomorrow will be “dress like a nerd day” at TJHS.
12. Volleyball teams will not have practice tonight.
