STUDENT INFORMATION         

1.    Congratulations to the 7^th and 8^th grade Girls’ Basketball teams for defeating Williamsville last night.

2.    Sign up for Boys’ Basketball is in the office. 7^th grade Boys’ Basketball tryouts will be Monday, October 20^th through Thursday, October 23^rd from 3:15 to 4:30. 8^th grade Boys’ Basketball tryouts will be Monday, October 20^th 7:30 to 9:00 and Tuesday, October 21^st 8:15 (after Girls’ game) 8:15 to 9:30.

3.    Thanks to everyone that participated during the book fair. We sold $3400 in merchandise! That’s awesome! We did not, however, collect much change for the Champion Challenge. Still, the girls collected more change than the boys and Scholastic can provide a couple of books to kids in need. The girls collected $8.00 and the boys $3.00. We have a tie for the guessing game. Congratulations to Isabelle Norris and Kennedie Cearlock for correctly guessing 72 mints in the jar. Please come to the Media Center to collect your prize.

4.    October book orders for the Media Center are due Monday, October 20^th.

5.    Picture day is today.  Remember to take your picture order form with you to PE.

6.    If you are out of PE, make sure you go to the gym today for your picture.

7.    Do you like to draw, play an instrument, write poems/songs, paint or participate in any other form of artistic self-expression?  If you do, come to Mr. Zini’s room on October 20^th after school.  We’re going to start meeting every other Monday for the rest of the fall and winter.  Have a ride ready to take you home at 4:30.  This group is open to all junior high students.
