STUDENT INFORMATION
- Congratulations to the 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball team for their victory last night in the Chatham Tournament against Williamsville.
- Good luck 7th & 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball teams tonight against Pleasant Plains at 5:30. Bus leaves at 4:00.
- Good luck 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball team against Glenwood tonight at 6:45. Bus will leave at 5:00.
- Good luck to 7th Grade Boys’ Basketball playing against Central A&M tonight in Pana at 7:15. Bus leaves at 5:30.
- Good luck to the 6th Grade Taylorville Girls’ Youth Basketball team against Pleasant Plains tonight in the Junior High Gym at 6:00.
- 6th Grade Boys’ Basketball tryouts will be next Wednesday, November 11th, from 3:00 to 5:00 and Thursday, November 12th, 3:30 to 5:15 at the Junior High Gym.
- Newspaper Club meets today in Mrs. Richardson’s (106) from 3:10 to 3:45.
- The lost and found table is getting very full! If you are missing any coats, jackets or sweat shirts etc., please claim them today.
- Fannie May candy will be here November 20th.
- School Pictures will be retaken December 1st.
- Wrestling sign-up sheet will be in the office through Friday, November 6th. Parent/Guardian informational meetings are Monday, November 9th and Wednesday, November 11th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Parent/Guardian and wrestler attendance is required at one of the meetings.
- Taylorville Girls Soccer, for grades 5th through 8th, will be playing indoor soccer starting January 2016 at Soccer World in Springfield. For more information, please pick up a flyer in the office.
- All TJHS students are invited to join the Gold Rush. This group will promote school spirit and support our junior high sports teams. Membership fee is $10 which includes an official Gold Rush T-shirt and free admission to designated ball games including 2 girls basketball, 2 boys basketball, and 2 volleyball games. Envelopes are available on the office counter and are due today. You can be turned into your 1st hour/homeroom teacher.
