STUDENT INFORMATION
  1. Congratulations to the 7th & 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball teams for their victory over Mattoon last night!
  2. Congratulations to the 6th Grade Girls’ Basketball team for winning their game against Central A&M last night.
  3. Good luck to the 7th & 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball teams against Springfield Jefferson tonight in the North Gym starting at 6:00.
  4. Good luck to the 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball team against Springfield Jefferson at 5:30 tonight in the Chatham Round Robin Tournament. Bus will leave at 4:00.
  5. Good luck to the 6th Grade Girls’ Basketball team in Pana tonight. Game starts at 6:00.
  6. Wrestling sign-up sheet will be in the office through Friday, November 6th. Parent/Guardian informational meetings are Monday, November 9th and Wednesday, Novmber 11th from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Parent/Guardian and wrestler attendance is required at one of the meetings.
  7. Our book fair was another success. We sold a little over $2,900 in items from the fair. That means we earned $1,300 in free books! Thank you all who helped make the fair a great success. Look for information about our second book fair in December! The winners of the raffles are as follows: Raffle 1 basket goes to Summer Brandis; Raffle 2 basket goes to Kai Albright. The winner of the guessing contest goes to Chase Hunsley. He and Jasmine Taylor, Byeron Tellor, Eric Hargis, and Rachelle Dubson guessed 70 eyeballs. The correct answer is 69. These five were in a seperate drawing for the jar of eyeballs, with Chase’s name being drawn. The other four will get a free poster. All winners please pick up your prizes in the Media Center.
  8. Lego Club will meet tomorrow in Mr. Brown’s room (113) from 3:10 to 4:00.
  9. All TJHS students are invited to join the Gold Rush.  This group will promote school spirit and support our junior high sports teams.  Membership fee is $10 which includes an official Gold Rush T-shirt and free admission to designated ball games including 2 girls basketball, 2 boys basketball, and 2 volleyball games.  Envelopes are available on the office counter and can be turned into your 1st hour/homeroom teacher through Nov. 5. Come be a part of #TornadoNation!
