STUDENT INFORMATION
- Congratulations to the 6th grade Girls’ Taylorville Youth Basketball team for their win last night!
- Volleyball try-outs continue today in the North school gym. Eighth grade will try-out from 3:30 to 5:30 and 7th grade try-outs are 5:30 to 7:30.
- Homework Helpers will meet today from 3:10 to 3:45.
- Chess Club will meet tomorrow in Mr. Hill’s room (107) from 3:10 to 3:45.
- The Media Center will be hosting another Scholastic Book Fair December 15 and 16 for the whole student body. This fair will be a BOGO (buy one get one free). It will be open from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm each day. Flyers are available in the Media Center for details.
- This year's speech contest is Saturday February 20th. Any 6th grade student interested in participating, must see Mrs. Richardson in Room 106 to pick up a registration form to be filled out and returned, along with $5.00 for entry fee by December 14th.
- The Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring a Super Sitters Babysitting Clinic for boys and girls who are in 7th and 8th grade. More information can be found in the office.
- Students: If you need to use the computer lab to complete your hour of code, it will be open at before school at 7:30 and after school from 3:30-4:15 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week.
- If you sold 35 or more boxes of Fannie May Candy, please remember to send your selfie text to Ruthie at 217-369-4049. Be sure to include Your Name, Grade, and School.
- The TJHS Drama Club will have their first meeting Thursday, December 10th in the Forum from 3:15 to 5:00. Please check out the posters in the hallways for more details.
- 7th grade Girls’ Basketball team players need to turn in practice uniform and game uniform in to Mr. White no later than Friday.
- Attention all students who walk to the Kroger’s parking lot after school. There is safe crossing area provided for you at the corner of the school parking lot. If you walk to that corner, traffic will be stopped so you can cross safely.
FACULTY INFORMATION
The Faculty Christmas party will be held at Angelo’s after school on December 11th. Please sign up in the faculty center. Even if you can only stay for a short time, we would love to see you there!
