  1. Congratulations to the 7th & 8th grade Girls Basketball teams for their victories over Lincoln last night!
  2. Congratulations to the 6th grade Girls Taylorville Youth Basketball team for their win over Glenwood last night!
  3. Good luck to the 7th & 8th grade Girls Basketball Teams tomorrow against Pana at 6:00 in the North Gym. Remember Thursday is Pink Night and there will be a 50/50 drawing.
  4. 7th & 8th grade Boys Basketball members can now pay their Athletic Fee of $150.00 through Skyward.  You can also bring it to Mrs. Vincent.  Athletic Fees are due by the first game, October 29th.
  5. Lego Robotics Club will meet today in Mr. Brown’s room (113) from 3:15 to 4:00.
  6. Newspaper Club will begin for 5th-8th grade students who enjoy writing and would like to write articles for the online school newspaper. Join us Thursday, Nov 3rd in Mrs. Richardson's classroom, Room 106, after school until 3:45.
  7. It’s not too late to join the Chess Club.  You can stop by Mr. Hill's room for informational package.  Next chess club meeting is November 8, 2016. Chess Club officers are: President - Daniel Sloan, Vice President - Trenton Lehman, and Secretary - Elyse Clayton.
  8. Gold Rush membership envelopes are due in the office today. The fee to join is $15 which includes an official Gold Rush T-shirt and free admission to designated ball games including 2 girls basketball, 2 boys basketball, and 2 volleybal games. Come be a part of #TornadoNation!
  9. Door Contest for Red Ribbon Week will be judged today after school.  Winners will receive doughnuts: 5th grade in the morning; 6th & 8th grades will get their doughnuts 1st hour and 7th grade 8th hour.
  10. The Annual Winter Coat Give Away, sponsored by the Taylorville High School FFA and Student Council, will take place at the High School’s East Gym during Parent/Teacher Conference times. The coat give away is for anyone in need of a warm winter coat who resides in the Taylorville area. Sizes from infants to adults will be available.
  11. Monday is Halloween, please remember it is a regular school day at the Junior High. We do not allow costumes, face paints, candy or Halloween Parties.
  12. Remember, no school Thursday and Friday. Parent/Teacher Conferences are Thursday Noon to 7:30 and Friday is 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
