- Good luck to the 7th & 8th grade Boys Basketball teams playing against Williamsville tonight in the North Gym. Game time is 6:00.
- 5th grade Boys Taylorville Youth Basketball tryouts will be tomorrow Tuesday, December 6th and Wednesday, December 7th in the Junior High Gym from 6:30 to 8:00.
- 7th & 8th grade Volleyball tryouts will begin today. 8th grade tryouts in the North Gym from 3:30 to 5:00 and 7th grade tryouts in the Junior High Gym 5:00 to 7:00. On December 6th and December 7th, tryouts for 8th grade will be 3:30 to 5:30 and 7th grade will be 5:30 to 7:30, both will be in the North Gym. Sign Up sheets are in the office.
- Picture retakes are tomorrow. You must bring your original picture package to turn in to the photographer.
- Chess Club will meet tomorrow in Mr. Hill’s room (107) from 3:15 to 4:00.
- There will be a dual Wrestling meet Wednesday, December 7th in the High School West Gym at 6:00. We will be facing Shelbyville and Vandalia on what is designated as “Armed Forces Night”. The Wrestlers will be honoring our Military Service Men and Women as well as hosting a special fundraiser for Maggie Bilyeu of the U.S. Army, 2008 THS graduate and relative to TJHS Wrestler, Elijah Robbins. All proceeds of the fundraiser will go to Maggie’s family to help with costs during her recovery.
- Media Center book orders are due December 9th. Please give your orders to Ms. Lowry or Mrs. Southworth.
- Taylorville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be presenting a Babysitting Clinic Thursday, December 29th, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the classroom on the fourth floor of the hospital.
- Open 4-H enrollment and Youth Events information can be found in the office.
- Auditions for the High School Spring Musical will be held January 13th. Please pick up a flier with more information and music from the office.
- Candy Incentives and Prizes: Students who sold 12 boxes or more of Fannie May Candy and have turned in all of your fundraising money, will be eligible to attend the Principal’s Party. The 5th and 6th grade Principal’s party will be on December 20th at 1:17 p.m. (7th hour). The 7th and 8th grade Principal’s Party will be December 21st at 1:17 p.m.. All prizes will be handed out at these parties. The limousine rides for those that sold 25 or more items will be on February 15th and 16th.
- Starting today, students who ride the Light Green Bus (T8), should be dismissed at 2:55. The Light Green Bus will be leaving before the Stonington Bus.
