1. Congratulations to the Junior High Cross Country girls and boys for placing 2nd out of five teams at the Shelbyville meet last night! Our top 10 runners are: Ella Moreland, Alyvia McCullough, Brenton Good, Drake Howard, Will Turvey, Owen Morgan and Jesse Sloan.
2. Good luck to the Boys Taylorville Youth Baseball Team against Decatur Jefferson tonight, 4:30 at Manners Park.
3. 7th and 8th grade Junior High Girls Basketball open gym will be today at the North Gym from 3:30 to 5:00. Tryouts will be Monday, August 27th and Tuesday, August 28th in the North Gym from 3:30 to 5:00.
4. Chromebook meeting for any 7th and new 8th grade parents/guardians who have not attended the meeting, is tonight at 5:00 in the Forum.
5. Taylorville Youth Girls Basketball tryouts for girls in 5th and 6th grades is again today. 5th grade tryouts are 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 6th grade tryouts are 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Please pick up a waiver in the school office.
6. 8th grade Junior High Boys open gym will be Monday, August 27th. Times have been changed, open gym will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..
7. Junior High Welcome Back to School dance is tomorrow, Friday, August 24th. Hot dogs, chips and ice cream are provided. Students may bring money to buy candy and/or soda from concessions. The 5th and 6th grade dance will be from 5:00 to 6:30. 7th and 8th grades will have their dance from 7:00 to 9:00.
